Lost in the Vazquez trade is Jaun Rivera. I'm guessing he'll have a good shot at starting for Montreal .... What's the consenus on him?... Puerto Rico anybody ? ? ?

Outfielder Juan Rivera was picked up by the Expos in a four-player deal. Rivera will take over as the Expos' right fielder if the team can't re-sign Vladimir Guerrero. If Guerrero is brought back, Brad Wilkerson could be moved to center, allowing Rivera and Terrmel Sledge to battle for playing time in left. The 25-year-old Rivera isn't anything special, but he could hit .270 with 20 homers if he plays regularly.

20 homers seems a little lite. I thought he had power ? ? ?

I think 20 homers is a stretch, really. More like 15.

He had some talent, but he hasn't showed he can use it yet.

Of Course he also hasn't had a starting job. I think .270 witharound 17 HR is about right.

His PT is going to depend alot on whether the Ezpos can bring back Vlad or not....If they do resign him....then Rivera won't have alot of time on the field......If Vlad goes, then Rivera will get aleast a shot to compete.....If he does get a shot....look for something in the .270-.280....15-18 HR.....
