Mike Gonzalez will be closer at some point this year, but Wickman will start there.

I really like this guy but I can't afford to keep him on my bench with 3 other RP's. I am going to watch him like a hawk and pounce as soon as it looks like he's the closer. I'll either end up trading him or one of my other RP's.

I was looking at his numbers to close out the season and they were wicked.

Not for now, but keep an eye on him and Sori if Wickman starts to screw up.

Will he be the set up guy for the mean time? I need holds and I don't know if he's worth a roster spot, or should I pickup a Maddux or Igawa or Westbrook off WW.

I'd go with Wickman, and if he screws up or gets hurt I wouldn't even waste my time with the Atlanta bullpen. Last year when Reitsma kept screwing up, they seemed to go back and forth constantly with their next-in-line people. I don't remember how it ended up, but chasing Atlanta saves ended up causing me headaches last year.

I think it's actually more likely that Soriano would be the 2nd choice to close if Wickman fails. All things equal, I think most teams/managers would prefer not to have a lefty closing.
