BTW - We can start 4 starters and 2 relievers for the week (or 3 pitchers, 3 relievers) Holds are worth 5 points so Scot Shields is almost as valuable as a closer (saves are worth 7). Papelbon and McCarthy have RP eligibility for weeks when they're hot or have easy outings.

1B - Mark Texeira (2nd Round)
2B - Ian Kinsler (12th Round)
3B - Troy Glaus (7th Round)
SS - Felipe Lopez (8th Round)
OF - Alfonso Soriano (1st Round with the 10th pick!)
OF - Matt Holliday (3rd Round)
OF - Alex Rios (11th Round)
DH - Corey Patterson (16th Round)
SP - Ben Sheets (5th Round)
SP - John Lackey (6th Round)

SP - Jonathan Papelbon (9th round and I can slot him in as an extra relief pitcher)
SP - Brandon McCarthy (same as above) 14th Round
SP - Nate Robertson (18th Round)
RP - Billy Wagner (4th Round)
RP - Scot Shields (15th round) we get points for holds

Overall, I like my team. My pitching may be questionable but it does have the talent. I have to pick up one more player since Colon is going to the DL....but overall, I like the combination of power and speed I have.

Looks great to me. May need to check waivers later in the season for an extra closer, but I think you could be fine as is. Good patience, good speed, good power, strong sp...

Man you should play in another league. Your team is pretty good, but I wonder how good the other teams are.
What is clear that the others in your league have no idea of fantasy baseball, if Soriano could fall to 10th, Holliday to 38th overall. Not to mention Patterson way down there at 220, while he listed 87th on Yahoo, but he should go around 130- 140 at the latest.
Thanks for the kind words guys. Anything else is appreciated. There are a couple of guys that made some big mistakes in the draft. One guy wasted his first 3 picks on starting pitching. Overall, everyone is pretty knowledgeable but we have some yankee fans in there that preferred to take Abreu over Holliday. I did a lot of research to prepare....so it worked out. The only pick I'm not that pleased with is Troy Glaus. Scott Rolen was still on the board and he might have been a better bet.
Hopefully, Upton moves all around the field so I can start using him as my super utility guy and bounce him around the positions when he gets hot.
Very nice team, good balance, across the board.....
Like the others are saying, RP could use some help, I know its a 14 team league. But what about guys like: Dotel, Borowski, Weathers, Torres, Capps, Linebrink, are they on the Wire? (Dotel and Borowski, are more then likely gone. correct?
I figure that he's not gonna hurt me on the DL. If he comes back strong then I can activate him and maybe drop McCarthy if he doesn't perform well....if he comes back and stinks, I'll just flat out drop him.
