I had 12th pick in a 14-team league. I think my major weakness is closer. There was a run on starting closers and aside from getting Putz I decided not to play. Easy to get closers during the year anyway.

This is a 6x6 roto league with OPS and K/BB as the extra categories.

As you said, your main weakness is closers. Putz has a strained elbow and isn't pitching until it feels better. It shouldn't be too long -- but it wouldn't be the first time an elbow strain turned into something worse or dragged on for some time... Liriano strained his elbow, remember?

Also, your starting pitching lacks a true ace -- a lot of SP with great potential, you'll need two or three of them to make that step forward.

You are right, closer is your weakness, but it should be your weakness. There are SO many shaky closers this year that there will be tons of opportunities to pick up cheap saves throughout the year...No worries there. The rest of the team looks nice, especially the offense. I don't know how you got Ortiz, Ichiro, and Berkman with the 12th pick in a 14 team draft. I'm guessing Ichiro fell to you towards the end of the 3rd round.

That he did. A SP run went on in the 3rd round, so a lot of people passed on him. I didn't draft a pitcher until the 5th round because I always seem to get some during the year. Like Verlander, Hamels & Weaver last year.
