A-Rod is a clear choice to be the number one draft pick in a one-year league because of his established reign as the number one SS and the way his bat compares to other offensive studs.

However, if you are talking about a keeper league, taking Pujols earlier in a snake draft of for more money in an auction could easily be debated.

Another option that's definitely worth considering this year is trading down...

I certainly agree. ;-D

With all the great choices this year, a #1 or #2 pick isn't worth as much as it usually is. ;-) Trading down can score you a better player in rounds 2 and 3 while losing very little on the 1st round pick. :-)
