In other news, free-agent catcher Chris Widger stayed with the Cardinals, agreeing to a $500,000, one-year contract.

Widger, 32, hit .235 in 102 at-bats appearances over 44 games last season.

Not real exciting and doesn't impact fantasy but news for Cards fans.
