I've heard this from a variety of sources--including Gammons--but can't find it in print.

I don't know who they'll get, but it's likely to happen. I think this is a good thing--he couldn't get AL lefties out, but is pretty good in the NL. :-b

That bully would look pretty nice then. Some power righties in Hawkins, Farnsworth, AND two good lefties, although Sauerback is more situational than Remlinger. The only thing is, I'm still not completely sold on Borowski as the hammer.

He pitched well last year but I just don't think he has the tools to be effective all year. He is a TON better than Rocky Biddle tho!

If I were you...I wouldn't wan't the Prior guy...he is really not that good.....maybe you should look for Alfonseca....I hear he has the real stuff..... ;-)

besides, everybody knows that Prior wants to pitch at Home ... In front of his family and friends .... :-]

Mike Remlinger is actually a righty specialist, not a lefty specialist, so getting Sauerbeck seems like a good idea. Besides, Remlinger looks like Billy Bob Thornton :-o

But I have to agree, that is looking like one of the best bullpens out there. If they get Sauerbeck, and he gets his act together, that's 4 excellent relief pitchers. Personally I think Farnsworth could be great this year. It's just a hunch though.

.....but he really wants to be wearing a Cubbie uniform when he goes to SD..... :-)
