Anyone here drafting wes helms?

I'm not a believer in his vs righties splits, if you are in the type of league where you can afford the roster spot and only play him vs lefties I see some value.

he is batting after howard. He is not david bell. Good hitting and power ball park. He played well last season , and is kicking butt so far this preseason. I might just draft him and the tampa 3rd baseman and load up somewhere else. I see 300 , 30 hr, 90 rbi, 80 runs as a minimum . If your saying he won't do that, then phillies will finish last.

Wrong on so many levels. First of all, he is NOT batting immediately behind Howard ... Burrell is still batting behind him. And, are you serious with those numbers?

Dude, Wes Helms aint that good. Also, he is a defensive liability .... the Phils still have Nunez to split time with Helms. I guess if it's a deep league, I would consider drafting him real late. Other than that ... No.

I got him very late for a buck in an auction and think that he may do ok. We can spot start so I am thinking he'll be a decent play unless he runs afoul of the Phils by stinking it up or something like that. Not a great play but ok for some flexibility and pop for nothin'.
