Rotoworld wrote:The Mariners aren't likely to offer arbitration to free agent Mike Cameron. The Mariners are believed to be offering Cameron a one-year deal worth less than $5 million, so it's almost certain he'll head elsewhere. The Mets, A's and Padres are interested, and there's still a slim chance the Red Sox will trade Johnny Damon and go after him. As for the M's other free agents, Shigetoshi Hasegawa will be offered arbitration. A decision on Arthur Rhodes has yet to be made.
Chances are Cameron's looking for a multi-year deal, 3-4 years, 20 mil not out of the question.

I agree.....I think there is only 2 teams left.....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
According to The New York Times, Japanese League shortstop Kazuo Matsui is "in the midst of negotiations" with four teams, all of whom have made offers. The Mets are believed to have offered a three-year deal worth close to $21 million.
"I think the decision will be made sooner than I thought," Matsui told the Japanese media on Thursday.
Matsui's stateside agent, Arn Tellem, told The Times on Thursday that Matsui "was interested in the Mets and in becoming the second player named Matsui to play in New York."
So basically it looks like a lock for matsui playing for the mets and reyes moving to 2nd base next year.
Rotoworld:
The Mets are close to a deal with Kazuo Matsui and could announce an agreement within the next few days.
Matsui is expected to get a three-year deal in the $20 million-$23 million range. The Dodgers may not be completely out of it yet, but all indications are that Matsui will join the Mets.
