Anyone paying attention to how Phillips is doing this spring?
.313, 4 HR, 8 RBI, 1 SB
He faded a bit at the end of last year, leading me to wonder if he could repeat his decent numbers from last year. Could be a nice mid to late round 2B pick up ...

I watched the short St interview and he said he tried to buff up during the offseason..he went from 185 to 197....the guy could easily be a 20/30 canidate. In his first full season he was 17/25, what else do you want from your 2nd baseman?
Brandon Phillips: the top prospect everyone gave up on. There were reasons he was highly rated. Last year wasn't a fluke in terms of power and speed...but it's hard for me to gauge where his average will be. .270? 280? He doesn't seem like a .300 hitter.
He admitted that he slumped late last season because of fatigue. Maybe his improved conditioning will help him stay strong through September.
Phillips, Barfield, and Kendrick are all very similar players at the 2B position and all can be had relatively late. I was wondering which 2B with the power/speed combo everyone is targeting in rounds 9-13?

I'm going with Kinsler who seems to be falling farther back and given a full season, will hit 20 HR in that park.

Good call on Kinsler, I almost included him but I didn't consider him a 20 plus steals guy but now that I look at his minor league numbers I could definitely see it. Yeah, Kinsler went about 5 rounds later in a draft I did last night than the players I originally mentioned which is very good value.
I would definitely rather have one of these 4 than Cano, Figgins, Uggla, or Roberts in the first 6 rounds.
