I want the Rangers to win. Plain and simple. If we can move $25 million and sign some pitching, then I'm all for it.
I've just looked at the facts, and it doesn't look like there's any chance of it happening.
For the record, my favorite player is: Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Hypothetically, should A-rod be traded, who would be the Ranger's SS right now? Is Perry still signed (and healthy) to play 3rd and move Blalock to SS?

Perry is signed for one more year if I remember right, and it's a possibility that he could play 3B. I don't think he'd make it through the whole season though. I'd say hypothetically, if it happened, the Rangers would sign a decent defensive SS, and work from there.

Do you listen to the Ticket, Mad? If you do, then you heard the two rumors the hardline threw out. One, there sources are saying this will happen before the weekend is out. And two, there is a reason that the Shef deal hasn't happened. Wouldn't it be delicious if the Sox did pick up 4-5 mil of Manny's contract, then we picked up another 4-5 mil, and then traded him to the evil empire? I don't think George would love anything more than to have his left-fielder being partially paid by the BoSox.
End of the weekend? Good luck, but I don't see that happening.
Sheff hasn't signed yet because the Yanks don't want to lose a #1 draft pick. The Yanks do some crazy things, but they are smart enough to wait a few days and keep the draft pick.
