S-Video and Video Games

My PS2 finally broke and I dont really want to upgrade to a PS3 at this time. However, I have a really nice computer and I was wondering if I should hook my computer up to my tv with a S-video cable and play games that way. Mainly im just wondering if this works well for games like Madden and MLB 2K7. Has anyone tried this? Does the game lag or anything like that? Thanks.

S-video will work fine for gaming. If you have HD TV I'd recommend using VGA just for added quality in picture but truthfully you should be fine with 6 Video

MLB2k7 isn't on PC BTW

What's wrong with your PS2?

Give Sony a call and convince them to repair your ps2 for free. If you get rough with them, they'll give in. I t worked for me.

Or you could buy one on ebay for 20 bucks

If its the "Disc read error" thing than that's a really easy fix.

I tried to get it fixed around a year ago but sony told me they would look at it for $125 bucks (this was when a new PS2 cost 150). Notice i didnt say fix it for 125 bucks. Anyway, I think the problem is with the laser. I can usually only play for about a hour at a time and then it will freeze, and i can forget about trying to start the thing up again for at least another couple of hours. O well, I have had the thing for like 5 years so it was well worth the money.

Have you tried opening it up and adjusting the laser/cleaning out all of the dust. That always worked for me.
