Fair trade?

So my buddy is trading with one of his friends.


He is giving up:
Michael Cuddyer and Raul Ibanez
for
Ben Sheets and Nick Swisher


I'm kinda thinking this is shady and Sheets is more valuable than this.

Kind of shady indeed but hard to veto. It looks like one of the people is stupid enough to only go by last years numbers.

While I agree that the person giving away Sheets is getting ripped off, but there seems to be no sign of collision going on, so I'd say let it go through (unless you have some kind of proof that there is collision)

Right. I think most people feel that way. It's presumptuous to think that we are able to forecast trades better than the next guy. How many times have you seen a trade go down that looked one-sided but turned out to be a great deal for the perceived loser? I would agree with you that this is an awful deal but unless these guys are cheating who am I to say?
