If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

Ah, you mean predictions for next year.

Ok, here's one:

Esteban Loaiza will have a 4+ era and 12 wins.

:-)

Yep, there will be a very upset owner in most fantasy leagues next year. If you have him in a keeper, move him while you still can. ;-)

Adrian Beltre, Tony Batista, and Adam Dunn will all bat under .240.

If Austin Kearns stays healthy he will be "The Truth"!! I drafted him two years in a row and he teased me with flashes of brilliance, especially last season. But I will draft him again for sure!!!

My prediction: Everybody's wrong about Loazia being a one year wonder. He'll have around a 3.50 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 200+ K's, and 17 wins. Despite people thinking he really declined in the second half, his K's were up, his wins were up - he won 66% of his starts after the AS break, as opposed to 58% before. His K's went up from 7.3 K/9 before the AS break to 9.5 K/9 after. His WHIP went up slightly (1.06 to 1.19) and his ERA went up quite a bit, but that was due in large part to 3 or 4 games against Minnesota, Texas and Cleveland. That might be due to him throwing 30 IP more than he had in any season prior to 2003. His numbers should be very good IMO. I might try to get him cheap in some leagues (althought so far I havnt seen him cheap enough to take a chance). Just my opinion. I might sound like I'm always trying to disagree with everybody, but I'm just giving an opinion that isn't from a 'yes-man'. Sometimes it seems that the first person to come up with an idea about somebody has a bunch of sheep follow him in those beliefs (I'm not accusing you guys; just people in general). I'm just trying to keep my own opinions.
