New H2H Team (WHIR)

10 team league, cbs.sportsline.com H2H. I had the 8th pick.

C Mike Piazza (15)
1B Mark Teixeira (2)
2B Josh Barfield (17)
3B Alex Rodriguez (1)
SS Michael Young (5)
OF Manny Ramirez (3)
OF Matt Holliday (4)
OF Hideki Matsui (6)
U Johnny Damon (7)

P J.J. Putz (8)
P C.C. Sabathia (9)
P Ervin Santana (10)
P Chris Young (11)
P John Smoltz (12)
P Brian Fuentes (14)
P Francisco Cordero (16)

BN Lyle Overbay (13)
BN Mark Teahen (18)
BN Jake Westbrook (19)
BN Ian Snell (20)
BN Freddy Sanchez (21)
BN Aubrey Huff (22)

My strategy in these H2H points leagues like Sportsline's (1B = 1; 2B = 2; 3B = 3, etc) is to load up the offense, since they will be playing everyday. That is evidenced in my roster.

What are your thoughts?

Wow...A-Rod falling to the 8th pick, even as a Sox fan I don't know I could pass up on that. I'd say your roster looks good for the strategy you implemented. The SP is def weak, but you seem to be ok with that.

Without knowing your scoring its tough to tell if thats the right approach or not. In my sportsline league the past 3 years it was nice to have the every day player, but I found that pitching would get you the most points (stud pitching that is)....

But like I said, maybe your scoring is differenct.

I like how you grabbed the versatile Sanchez for your bench, good guy to have plug in different holes.

Nice draft!!

Can you look at mine? Thanks
