didn't see this anywhere, but I figured it was news worthy..
VERO BEACH, Fla. -- The crowded field for the Dodgers' fifth starter job was narrowed by one Tuesday when Chad Billingsley was notified he would be pitching out of the bullpen this year.
Either way, let's give Kuo a chance, if he fails. Billingsley can be in the rotation and stay there instead of having to switch around roles like what the Giants did with Jonathan Sanchez last year. Chances are, one of Lowe/Penny could get traded soon or Wolf would just suck his way out of a rotation and Billingsley would be back in the rotation by mid season if he can find a good k/bb ratio in the majors.

Well, it's now a three pony race for the 5th starter spot in LA. GuoMania Blog has a pretty good break down on the happenings and who will most likely get the 5th starter spot.
Not a bad move by the Dodgers imo. Let Billingsley get into the groove in the pen, and then I imagine he will be in the rotation in a few months ala Liriano of 06.
I was hoping they would do Kuo/Bills pitching every 5th game. Maybe have one go 4-5 innings and the other finishes.
I don't care how improved Tomko is. He is a terrible pitcher and so is Hendrickson. Also, given Wolf's injury history, I don't think Bills will be in the pen for long.
