looks like he's starting the year at AAA. He's not that bad of a hitter.

The Cardinals are out of options on him so if he gets called up he needs to stay up. If he gets sent back to the minors he will have to go through waivers.

With Edmonds and Encarnacion starting the season on the DL they'd have him up if they thought he was ready. He's not ready, so they can't bring him up for that (hopefully) short period of time.
