Where should I look to improve first?

Postby Shaman » Tue Mar 13, 2007 11:47 pm

5 x 5 head to head, 14 team league

C Mike Piazza
1B Adam LaRoche
2B Ray Durham
3B Mark Teahen
SS Julio Lugo
OF Alfonso Soriano
OF Matt Holliday
OF Jacque Jones
Util Jim Thome
BN Brad Hawpe
BN Joe Crede
BN Kenny Lofton

SP Roy Oswalt
SP Curt Schilling
P John Patterson
P Anibal Sánchez
BN Barry Zito
BN Boof Bonser
BN Adam Loewen
P David Weathers
RP Billy Wagner
RP Brad Lidge

I'm thinking that I need to pick up BA, and have some SP pan out. Do I need more speed? Should I be looking at upgrading at 2B or SS?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, your starting pitching is a little dicey. You might have Zito and Bonser starting before too long, but I don't think that's all that terrible. But Stormy Weathers IS terrible. Get him out of there for Boof/Zito, until you can fix the situation.

I think you'll be okay with BA. Not top-flight, but not bottom of the barrel either. I think that's a real good 14-teamer.

If you get a chance:

Your bats look pretty good though yah, not star studded. I'd keep Durham cause he's either gonna hit in front or clean up after bonds, which I think can work out well for him either way.

I'm actually down on Durham for this year, if you could package him and Weathers to someone who is desperate for a closer (and has a 2B or SS you like better) then I think you should do it. Also, he is in his mid-30's (34 I think) coming off of a contract year.
On the hitting near bonds thing... that won't be for all year, because Bonds won't play all year.

Can youhelp with mine?
