I really do not see it happening, but why would he want to go to San Diego? They are just bad and - while the Cubs do offer a chance at the postseason - I think there is still too much bad blod between them (Boras, Maddox and the Cubs) for him to return.

Would be nice to have him win #300 back in Cub pinstipes, though.

If Maddux will agree to a deal for much less money - say, two years at $11 million total - the way could be paved for him to return to Chicago.

If a deal like that could get done..... ;-D

But he [Boras] has already said he wants $11 million for one year...So I don't think that deal is likely.... :-/

It's a sad day when the player listens to his agent only and not his heart. Maddux earned enough cash already, so I wouldn't rule out a deal if both sides show some flexibility
