Lincecum is third of this group, but isn't the third best pitcher in the minors.

I'll give you some reason why Lincecum isn't a bad idea here

1)Both Bailey and Hughes sucked horribly in the spring training, lincecum is okay

2)Bailey pitchs for the Reds, Hughes pitches for the Yankees. Reds haven't developed a starting pitcher in forever and AL East is rough.

3)Lincecum pitch in the worst division in baseball offensively

4)There's really no complete proof that Bailey or Hughes are even better pitchers at this point.

Well Spring stats are more than pointless.

Licecum also has to pitch in Coors and Chase Field (though his home ball park is nice).

Bailey and Hughes have pitched above very well above A ball (Lincecum only has less than 32 pro-innings).

I love Licecum's potenial. But here are the things i hate:

1) his size. There are reasons why scouts hate small guys like Lincecum. They break down much too frequently. What percentage of the American population is 5-10 or less? (most people). Now what percentage of the American population is 6-4 or taller? (very few). Now what percent of MLB pitchers are 5-10 or less? What percent are 6-4 or taller?

2) His college pitch counts. He pitched over 342 innings in college and, according to baseball america, many of his outings had pitch counts in excess of 120 pitches. Compare that to a guy like Lester (who is about the same age). How many 120 pitch outtings did the Red Sox let him have? Zero.

I don't think Lincecum's size is a reason to discredit him. I think he is comparable to Roy Oswalt. I think heis better than Gallardo and Miller(though I like Miller alot). But I agree that Hughes is the Best Pitcher out of the three. He looks like he is just going to be amazing. But Lincecum's Stuff is going to be too nasty not to be in the Bigs. He is a stud.
