Returning Champion - Keeper league

Postby avk_7_7 » Mon Mar 12, 2007 11:16 pm

12 team H2H - 6x5 (OPS added), 6 keepers

C Posada
1B Howard
2B Lugo
3B Aramis Ramirez
SS Guillen
OF Vladi
OF Ichiro
OF Chris B. Young
UT Hafner
BN Hermida

SP Peavy
SP Hamels
SP Cain
RP Street
RP Shields
P Myers
P Mussina
BN Patterson
BN Lowe
BN Rich Hill

I know my closer situation is weak with only street, i'll try to address that via trade. Otherwise, can this team repeat?

I'm not so high on chris b after seeing his spring training and where he is slated to bat in the order, but you never know, otherwise, team looks solid for a 12 person league

I have Young as a prospect in one of my keeper leagues. Don't go by spring training stats so much. I think his one downfall will be his AVG/OBP line, but other then that it's worth a shot. You can always make a move if it doesn't work.

I really like your offense. The one real question is Young, but it's worth giving it a shot.

I like your SP depth a lot. I also have Mussina and Cain lol. http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... p?t=257608 If you could help me that'd be great.

But all in all, nice well rounded team. Keep it up.

I think with Young and Hermida, one of those guys if not both are going to break out this year. Therefore your offense will be outstanding, and you have a good rotation. I think you have a good shot at making it back to back.

Help please

you are betting a lot on whether Lugo will be able to run (get SB's) in Boston. traditionally, they don't like to steal bases because of the mashers (manny, ortiz). so you might need to address SB's at some point.

francona is one of the worst managers in the game as far as giving runners the green light to go, but who knows now with coco and lugo. I agree that either hermida or young will be the one breaking out and that should help you greatly. The offense seems balanced tome otherwise. The pitching looks great start off with three young studs and then you back it up with some seasoned veterans. I think patterson is going to return to pre-injury form and could possibly lead the league in strikeouts again, so i love him as a sleeper on your staff, and rich hill, if he could duplicate his 2nd half numbers, would be a great addition to the staff

I think it could definetly repeat barring any injuries and you keep an eye on the waivers so no other teams get the rising players

I have bad luck when it comes to signatures that the person either gets traded or hurt...in this case I hope he gets traded.
