It looks like they're content leaving Perkins in the pen. It's been rumored that Baker is going to get the call to replace Ponson. I'd rather it be Slowey or Garza.
Now, if we do call Baker up (I saw his numbers earlier, pretty good) and he struggles, is this the end for him? Not in terms of, that's it, you're cut. But more of, you don't get the first shot anymore and we won't hesitate to trade you.

To answer your question, I would say yes. If he doesn't get it done this time around, it will be his last shot with the Twins.
Slowey continues to dominate at AAA as he posts 8 innings of shutout ball. Ortiz needs to pitch well tonight if he wants to last in the rotation much longer.
Extremely excited to see Slowey. Hopefully he can just give us some innings and a quality start. He would have to absolutely tank to be worse than Ortiz was in May.
