I've got him in the 2nd round a couple times in mocks, but I wouldn't be afraid of grabbing him the 1st if I was a fan of him as it seems you are.

I got him with the 19th pick (2:7) in a new 6x6 H2H Keeper. Wasn't really trying to, but hard to pass up there. Got several "what, for 100 games?" comments, so there might be age concerns devalueing him in keepers. Carp, Tex, C Lee, Hafner, Ortiz, Berkman, Sizemore all went in front of him.

I think crawford and utley goes before Vlad. Mcab is a tough one, but I wouldn't take Beltran or Ortiz (1B so deep esp. in 10 team league) before him.

I would take Ortiz and Mcab before him from that list, but not the others. On the way back I would be looking at Hafner too.

He's the same age as Soriano, Ortiz, and Berkman. 1 year older than Ortiz, and a year younger than Carpenter, there should be absolutley no concern about his age.

100 games? He is pretty durable and he is only 31. Don't listen to those fools.

Agreed. Even on bum legs, he swiped 15 last year so he can't be that old and hobbled.

He slipped to me In the Second Round in a Recent H2H 10 Team draft after I had the Second overall pick. I think I got a great steal.

Wow. That is great value at that spot in the draft. I think Vlad continues to produce great numbers again in '07.
