Good book on baseball's front office?

Postby fiz » Mon Mar 12, 2007 12:08 pm

I'm trying to get an inside look into how baseball's front office works. I'm talking about the business side, not the on-the-field side. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I've read Three Nights in August and Moneyball, which both had certain aspects of what I'm looking for (Moneyball moreso). The reason I ask is because I have an MBA, and am moving and am thinking of trying to get a position with a local team, but I want to learn as much as I can about the innerworkings of the front office first.

Thanks!

Built to Win by John Schuerholz is a good read. It has some nice applications outside the baseball world as well.
