Draft projections?

Postby mtarail » Tue Dec 02, 2003 7:27 pm

Folks I'm curious to know where you think the following players should be picked in a 12 team 5x5 non-keeper league. (If 1st round, which pick, otherwise, which round.)

Soriano.

Renteria.

Schmidt.

Tejada.

Zito.

Nomar.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Well this is pretty vague, becuase so many other factor are in play. But all should be gone by the end of the 3rd, with Soriano being the only real 1st rounder. IMO

I agree Soriano is the only 1st rounder but as for the rest of the players it comes down to preferance at posistion. What do you like to draft 1st, Posistion scarcity, Best available, pitching and if you get caught up in any runs right at the front of the draft.

Part of that is the list of which he is a part of. That said, I think that it depends on where Tejada goes. I am of the opinion that Renteria is just entering his prime and he is a top level SS. By no means, do I expect him to be a 1-year wonder.

I agree Soriano is the only 1st round pick. I would bet all are gone by the end of the 2nd round.
Schmidt is the biggest risk to me. He put up great numbers last year but to gamble on a power pitcher coming off of an injury is tough.
