C: Russell Martin (12.17)
1B: Adrian Gonzalez (8.17)
2B: Luis Castillo (19.2)
SS: Jose Reyes (1.2)
3B: Garrett Atkins (2.17)
OF: Alex Rios (6.17)
OF: Nick Markakis (9.2)
OF: Corey Hart (14.17)
UT: Mark Teahen (11.2) [3B/OF]
UT: Kenny Lofton (18.17) [OF]

Bench: Kelly Johnson (17.2) [Will be my 2B once gained eligibility]
Bench: Shane Victorino (21.2) [OF]

SP: Jake Peavy (3.2)
SP: Jeremy Bonderman (4.17)
SP: C.C. Sabathia (7.2)
SP: John Patterson (13.2)
RP: Joe Borowski (10.17)
RP: Mike MacDougal (23.2)
RP: Seth McClung (22.17)
P: Cole Hamels (5.2) [Mistake... I know. Couldn't find Thome in time]

Bench: Matt Capps (20.17)
Bench: Mike Pelfrey (FA)
Bench: Brian Wilson (15.2)

I missed out on both closer runs early but by far have the best rotation. There wasn't enough power bats to go around so I'm probably more reliant than I should have to be on sleepers & potential breakouts. While my draft early on was less than what I hoped, I snagged quite a few steals later on (Patterson, Castillo, Lofton, Sabathia). Had I found Thome in time on my 5th round pick, I'd have a lot more faith in this team.

[Update: Dropped Howry for Pelfrey]

For an 18 teamer, I think you did REALLY well. You are hurting for closers, but you have a chance to score some vulture saves with your bench RPs. Your rotation is SICK, and if a few of your young guns/sleepers come through on Offense, you should be good to go. Id try to package up an appropriate amount to get a top 5 RP, but dont overpay, there is always the WW, and in an 18 teamer, if you are even middle of the pack in saves, but dominate the other 5 cats, you should be fine. My league, though it is a 10 teamer, has rules quite similar to yours, and you can get a lot of points with the MRs and get them in APPs (or holds in your case) to make up for that. I think you did really well, and Id give you a b+/a- personally...

Some help?

I don't think Hamels was a mistake...I actually like that you got him over Thome there. Very good draft.
