Morgan Ensberg is the definition of high risk, high reward. Luckily you dont have to spend a high draft pick on him this year.

Wouldn't the fact that he's going low in the drafts make him low risk high reward? I'd consider Matsuzaka high risk high reward.

When I started this thread, I never intended for Ensberg to compare to Teahen, Burrell or Francoeur. However, I think if Ensberg is hitting in the two hole in front of Berkman and Lee, he could have a better year than all three.

If he's hitting second I predict a lot of R's and a spike in AVG. I think I'm gonna drop Podsednik and take a chance on this guy.

I'm in the I-like-Ensberg's-chances-this-year camp. He's healthy. His BA is never pretty but the power is there. It's a matter of playing time and health with him. From what I understand, he should be the 3B. Batting in the 2-hole is nice but don't forget about Garner liking Burke (which would likely put Ensberg down to 6-hole and that's fine)

Are they hitting Ensberg second? I think it should help a lot having him hit in front of C. Lee and it makes sense with his OBP. Speaking of; is Lee going to hit 3rd or Berkman?

He was a FA and I dropped Shealy to get him ;-D

My whole league was paranoid of him because of all the bitching I did last year. :-b

Nice work alienating your league from a player you like. I employ that tactic all the time.

As for dropping Shealy...be careful. The kid's primed and ready to have a breakout system in a surprisingly good Royals lineup. I'm a Royals fan, and maybe I'm just drinking the Kool-Aid with Shealy, but I really have a good feeling about him.
