Kinney done for the year due to TJ surgery

Cardinals reliever Josh Kinney will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the entire season.

We thought there was a good chance Kinney would disappoint, but the Cardinals were really counting on him to be a big part of their bullpen with both Adam Wainwright and Braden Looper in the rotation. The soon-to-be 28-year-old right-hander had a 3.24 ERA in 25 innings in the majors last year and then pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings in the postseason.
