I've got an outfield of V. Wells, P. Wilson, C. Patterson, B. Abreu, J. Payton, L. Matos and T. Salmon. I'm weak at catcher and corners. I want to offer one of the otfielders for an inf or C. Looking for advise on who to offer and concensus worht of these guys.
Thanks,
Preston
First of all, Wells, Abreu, and Patterson should be your 3 OF. Sell Wilson and Payton high while you can, maybe trade him for a good catcher/above-average IF.
Salmon will probably not get you anywhere, though.

Move Payton if you can......Somebody will probably overvalue Wilson, too.
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

I'm new around here, but I thought I'd tell you that i would trade Wilson as well.....His numbers got inflated last year and should come back down to earth a little this season....he was one of the league leaders in power last year, so you should be able to get a solid player in return, and you'll have three great outfielders to play every day still...sounds like a good deal to me.
I would definitely move Abreu or Patterson before losing Wilson. Preston is still hitting in the Rocky Mountains and Patterson has major potential. Abreu is circling the drain in my opinion.

Preston hit .239 after the break last year. Just something to think about.
