Did the Yankees lose a draft pick by signing Sheffield before he went to abritration with the Braves??

I've seen the Sheff's agent double talk myself. As far as I'm aware, Sheff is his own agent. I think the guy that a few of the articles are calling his agent, is just someone who wants to sound important.
Yeah, I have found Rufus Williams to be a pain ever since his name began to be mentioned in the Sheffield talks. He is obviously a man founded on capitolist economic values. I would guess that Sheffield chose to have Rufus assist him so that he could make sure he got a sound contract. I do not think that Rufus needs to keep opening his mouth to the public. If talking is necessary, he can do it with the organizations that are interested in Sheffield.
It seems like this off-seasons theme is:
No wait this deal may not happen! Or maybe it will! Tune in tomorrow to see if we were merely trying to milk another transaction for every smidgen of media attention that it can recieve!
