I actually agree as well. It's just like crediting some athlete that doesn't beat his wife or do coke. We seem to accept mediocrity and, especially in key situations, overvalue players. If someone does what they should do, we should just quietly accept it rather than go out of our way to applaud them.

ok, i love chris rocks "i aint never been to jail"... "what do you want, a cookie?" joke as much as anybody

BUT

this IS baseball.

superstars fail 70% of the time.

so its not exactly making a big deal about what theyre supposed to do.
