I have to disagree with, there have been some great South Park episodes in the last couple of years. Last season on the whole was great.

I agree with this. Though this season has started off really bad.

Agreed. I think last year was phenomenal as were the last couple years. I'm guessing the above poster just stopped watching 5 years ago and so he claims it's been bad to validate his not watching.
But the first two episodes this year have been dreadfully awful.
The Apple episode wasn't bad, cartman was absolutely hilarious in it. The other storyline was pretty meh though. The comedy episode was unbelievably terrible though.
I'm going to echo the sentiment of most fans. The Apple episode was average, some funny parts (Cartman was great), but the comedy show was awful. One of the worst I can remember.
As for the last few seasons, last year was awesome and the ones before have been solid as well

I stopped watching regularly about 5 years ago. I've watched about half the episodes since then, and all the characters and episode premises have become so painfully one-note that watching one episode is pretty much the exact same as watching any other one. YES, I GET IT, THAT'S A THING FROM POLITICS OR POPULAR CULTURE! Every....single....episode. Some of the more original ones are good (Imaginationland was freakin' awesome) but 75% of them are drawn-out, 22-minute long, way-late "references". I mean, making fun of people that buy all of Apple's products was old as hell by the time Futurama parodied it last year.
Looking back actually, they've been doing that for like 8 years now. IMO they peaked at season 6 and then fell off a cliff.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
Last season was one of the funniest in the entire series. The previous few seasons had their ups and downs before that, but last year it was gold almost every single week. I've missed out on this season, but from the sounds of it, I haven't missed out on much...

That's not what it was about though, it was about Apple being able to do anything through their terms and conditions. So, it was actually very current. The comedy awards they were lampooning aired a couple weeks ago. I agree that it was better when they didn't have to make a topical reference every show, but you can't say that it's stale news they are making fun of.
