If I were to set a limit on transactions per team for my league this year, what would be a good number to use? I don't want to hinder people from making moves but I don't want a team making 5 moves each week.
I've found 40 to be the best...it's enough to allow for dumping of underperforming or injured players but also gives you some leeway to pick up an upcoming young batter or a pitcher at the end of the week if you're down by a few K's but it's few enough that guys won't churn the waiver wire or stream pitchers...
Add your own rule that you can only add 1 pitcher per day. If someone violates it you remove the 2nd pitcher regardless of who or what other factors are out there.
how many add drops should your leauge have per year. would it be better to have them for first and second half as well. our commish was thinking of doing 60 for the year , would that be too much.
Between 40 - 50 should prove sufficient. Plus, make sure there is a rule in place which prohibits saving all (or most) of your transactions until the playoffs, thus allowing that team to churn their pitchers at the end.
For my leagues, I play with a 40 max transactions limit good for the regular season. Come playoffs, only one transaction per week.

50. anything above that would be considered churning IMO
