At least if they read this story, there will be no question in their minds that they were actually talking to the real Curt Schilling. :-)

I think the deal is great for Boston, and it seems like Curt is very excited about it as well.

Now to see how George will retaliate............

I assume that george will retaliate by spending too much on Gary Sheffield.

Perhaps someone already did. I have stumbled upon some in bb sites. Richie Sexson, Ed Kranepool, Claude Osteen, 60s sp Tommie Sisk.

I entered a Yahoo chat with Carlos Delgado a few years ago. I asked him if he thought he deserved the AL MVP award, and if he thought he didn't get it because he played for a Canadian team. He replied very conservatively saying that it could have gone either way. I still have the printout ;-D

And I've also met him a couple times in real life. Once at a game (he signed a game used ball for me :-D ) and once at the mall near my house. I hope he signs with the Jays again, it'd be nice to have a player play his whole career with one team.

Nice story. This also explains your 1st round pick of Delgado in your draft.

Well I've met pretty much every player that played for the Jays in 1995, but I don't draft Robbie Alomar or Mike Timlin. Timlin gave me a ball too, but he'll have to at least get the closer role before I get him in the first round :-D

BTW: Lance Parrish is the coolest Jay ever, and Cito Gaston is an a$$hole.

Useless fact: Mike Timlin got a save in the final game of the 1992 World Series; as many as he had through the entire regular season.
