RE: crazy rules

I think it's important in any competitive setting (esp a friendly competition such as we all enjoy) that things be kept on the up and up, so noone takes the competition too seriously and noone ends up feeling taken advantage of. When this rule was suggested/voted on/passed, it was not the intented to be a loophole by those supporting it. And it cannot be changed at this point because the season is already underway if you've had your draft.

Lesson to take away from this is: wait until your league has decided on a host site and had a chance to evaluate its scoring options BEFORE any discussion of rules/scoring/eligibility changes. ;-D

But for now, play out the season like a sportsman, knowing that your leaguemates had no intention of cheating you. And I highly suspect being able to play Fick at catcher will not be the deciding factor in your league championship. ;-)

Thanks Rock, all good points! I thought about that last comment too. If that's how they want to play it, that's fine. Fick nor Phelps is such an X factor that it's going to determine the Championship.
