Do you think Gillick's presence is evidence that the Jays are actively looking to move an outfielder for a starting pitcher with the idea of giving Lind a starting spot in the bigs? I've got Lind in a couple of keeper leagues, and this is what I'm hoping, but I don't know if it's a reality.
I'm not sure the Jays are actively looking to move an outfielder, it may just be more of Gillick trying to move a starter. Ricciardi has said he won't trade Rios for any less than Cole Hamels or Brett Myers, so I don't see a match there. Maybe something is possible involving Reed Johnson (and it's what I would prefer), but if the best we can get for Reed is somebody like Lieber, I don't think JP will go for that.

Micah Owings... Anyone think he has a chance to crack the rotation for the Dbacks out of ST?

it's possible, though some more time in the minors should help. I never thought he's any better than a James Shields type.
