I think the majority of people here disagreed with Morneau winning on the grounds that either Jeter meant more to an injury depleted Yankee team or Mauer and Santana were more valuable than Morneau to begin with... etc, etc.
And just like last year, an "injury-depleted" Yankee team is still better than just about any lineup in baseball. You see, most teams have to get by with a couple superstars, some pretty good players, and some role players. Who in their right mind will feel sorry for the Yankees being forced to field a nomal lineup instead of a $200 million all-star team?
