Peter Gammons, love him or hate him?

Just a silly poll.

Just found out on Mike and Mike that Peter Gammons is a decendent of Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen. He is an interesting guy, lots of opinions, sometimes he seems way off base.

Seen lots of rants about him, just curious about how people feel about him.

I respect his love for baseball, but I do think a lot of times he thinks he knows more than he actually does.

He knows stuff BUT he thinks he knows more. (his "BUT" thing is annoying)

He makes statements as if they're fact.

The one that sticks out for me is
Heathcliff Slocumb is going to be a great closer for many years to come.

I voted Neutral as well, I have no specific problems with him, I just think he pulls a lot of his info out of his behind.

I'm neutral, but it's not Gammons' fault. ESPN has (surprise surprise) over-exposed him.

I'm neutral. If you want to talk about the AL East then he is your guy. Other than that I don't think he is that good.

i enjoy listening to him talk baseball, even if i don't agree with him, but i can't stand hearing about his music, what he thinks about music, who he listens to, anything about any of that. go do that on some non-sports station or a special espn show about sports and music, but quit the crossover.

I like him. He's insightful and got a lot of sympathy while in the hospital last season.
