After the A's spent $150,000 to get Goleski in the Rule 5 draft from the Devil Rays, there was some speculation that he'd likely be unable to play in spring training. he'll still have to win a bench job for the A's to keep him.

I personally think to be a first overall rule 5 pick, you can rake. I hope our depth in OF won't hinder his skills

What do you guys think of him ?

The purpose of the Rule 5 draft is to prevent teams from stockpiling too much talent, Goleski in 06' spent time in Cleveland's Minor league team AA-Akron hitting .296 with 48R 17 HR 62 RBI's in 324 at bats and with a .370 OBP. In A-Kinston he hit .331 28R 10 HR 43 RBI's and with an amazing .441 OBP at 121 at bats, he should be good but needs time
