xbox 360 HD DVD player

i heard that if you use vga cables with the hd dvd player that when you watch standard defintion dvds they will be upscaled to 720/1080. my question is, how do the GAMES look via vga connection? better or worse than component? i ask because im interested in getting vga cables to upscale my standard def dvd's however if the games look worse i would have to switch from components to vga everytime i want to watch a standard dvd, and with my current setup that would be HELL. anyone using vga cables with their 360 and hd dvd player?

I use VGA to my HD TV with my computer's DVD player and games and it looks pretty darn good...you'll be fine
