Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Fantasyland might be the most entertaining book i have ever read. It might help if you are farmilar with Shandler's Baseball Forecaster but still its awesome.
I read the Autobiography on Roberto Clemente. It was pretty good and I know it got really good reviews.
Obviously Moneyball is amazing as well.

I would suggest Baseball Between The Numbers. It offers great insight and questions the normal assumpptions of the average baseball fan. I definitely reccomend it if you wish to understand the game more thoroughly.

If you want to laugh your butt off, check out the stories of the late umpire Ron Luciano in his books "The Umpire Strikes Back," and "Strike Two." His legendary feuds with Earl Weaver are well known (in the majors, he once ejected Weaver from both ends of a doubleheader; in the minors he once ejected Weaver in four straight games), but his other stories are just as hysterical. It's sad that he took his life in the end, even after the success of his books.

If you want an in-depth history of baseball from the owner's and management side of things, I'd recommend "Lords of the Realm" by John Helyar. It's a long book, but it gives a great inside look at the workings of the owners and the player's union.

Just making sure everyone sees this. We really could use some baseball book reviews.

There's a ton in this thread. Take your pick.
We're also doing this on the light side, so if you'd rather do a football book (or already read one), you can do that as well (or even both sides).
