Baseball Books

I'm looking for some recommendations on some good baseball books to read.

I don't mind if they are autobiographies or just about the history of the game in general.

I've read game of shadows and i'm reading juicing the game now. I'm thinking about getting this Ted Williams biography: http://www.amazon.com/Ted-Williams-Biog ... F8&s=books

Anyone know if it's any good?

I just read "The Echoing Green" which was pretty interesting stuff, in light of the whole 'cheating' debate. "We didn't illegally steal any signals!" ;-D

I'd Recommend "FantasyLand" by Sam Walker. It's a narrative about Walker's season in the tout wars. Very interesting book.

I really want to read FantasyLand. Haven't seen it used yet though. I'm also curious about MoneyBall.

I have read "The Teammates", loosely centered on the Red Sox team during Ted Williams' era. I would highly recommend it- finished it in two days, it's a page turner. But Ted Williams dies at the end. :,-(

Thanks for the recommendations. What about (auto)biographies? Are there any good ones out there?

Tim McCarver's Baseball for Brain Surgeons is pretty entertaining. It has some interesting bits reflecting on his experience, both playing and broadcasting, that I have not seen elsewhere.
