Actually what I meant to say is all teams are out there to make as much money as possible (have the best ROI - Return On Investment).

Having the best return on their investment might not encompass a team spending all their cash nor does it require winning a championship as long as you have rabid fans that will attend your games and buy your sportswear no matter how the team sucks on the playing field. :-D

thats why an MLB AAA, AA or A affiliation would flourish in South America. Each team gets 1.

hehe, that would certainly reduce costs to MLB teams. However something tells me the player's association won't let that happen. Imagine yourself being a player and getting sent down to AAA Columbia or AA Argentina where you need to wear a flak jacket walking the streets
