Are they even still in business? I thought they were just plugging holes in the boat long enough for Microsoft to buy them out.

Way off. A better guess would be Myspace...or maybe Youtube. ;-) I'll have ACS, Cu, and whoever else fill in the blanks for you, Chad. :-b But there is a coffee shop on the ground floor of our building. ;-D

As for Ashton, well, he was surprising low key, but I reckon that Hollywood celebs tend to scamper around as if they're ghosts so that no one will recognize them knowing very well that they'll be recognized anyway. So, basically he came in wearing a beanie, a purple/black striped wool sweatshirt, and black pants...again, keeping things on the down low as if he was going to rob the joint. He didn't say much, pretty monotone, and he was mainly there to talk with our VP of marketing, who's quite an odd character herself.

I think Mark Cuban made a bigger splash around these parts when he was here a few months ago, but those were more optimistic times compared to now. He gives us a slight shout-out in his blog entries whenever he bashes Youtube. But I digress.
Seriously, where do you work?

I won't disclose much, but our CEO and COO went up to Seattle a few weeks ago and Microsoft weren't interested. There was a press release about that and DivX expressing some mild interest (but I don't know why they would be anyway). Steven has been telling people that we're not in panic mode and isn't looking to sell, but most folks aren't naive to think that he's not trying to under-sell it it to exit break-even with a good chunk of change.

It's kinda like the Old Cafe - http://fbc2.freeforums.net
