DL Spots

Postby Rockiesfan » Tue Feb 27, 2007 8:13 pm

Lets say you have a Roster size like this:
C, 1b, 2b, 3b, SS, MI, Ci, OF:4, U:1, Sp:3, Rp:2, P:3 BN:7 and a DL:1
for a total of 28

In a league like this do you draft 28 players or 27 and have the DL spot for a player on your roster to go if he gets hurt so then you can add another player?
So Im just curious if you draft 27 or 28 players

The latter, you draft 27 and the DL spot is there when you need it. You might also want to bring up the suggestion of adding another DL spot with your commish. One spot for a roster that size is a bit stingy.

I always like 2 DL spots. Even with two you're likely to spend some time during the season with a valuable bench spot being wasted on an injured player. With 1 it can be toruture. We had a couple of players in our league last year with 5-6 guys on the DL at the same time.
