Is there an innings limit? If so then you may want to deal some of your SP to get more saves/holds to maximize the amount of innings youll be able to use.
As far as the hitting goes you could probably get away without the speed. You have enough talent there to succeed.
You have a lot of nice keeper options too with Hamels, Quentin, and A-rod.
Overall a very nice job. Just a few tweaks down the line and you should be in contention
batting - (weaknesses) speed, too many of (and they are too young, i understand its a keeper but do u really need markais, quentin, c. young, duffy, and ethier), your 2b (is there really no one else)
try to package your an of and someone for either a better of, 2b or sp
pitching - hamels, bondo, sheets, garcia, beckett should provide a decent base of pitching and prior is gunna be good if he is healthy (big if)
rp - zumaya is ur future, hes a beast and will be a top tier closer as soon as detriot ditches jones.... i like how you have 3 closers, but do u really think torres and jenks are gunna lose their closer roles? there might be better set up men with chances of closing on the ww.
thanks for the input - I agree about the OF, but they were the highest upside guys around at the time. If some of them pan out I hope to deal them for a second baseman. I want to wait and see who will have the most value.
For the relievers, holds is a category, so capps and mcdougal are for holds, not closers in waiting.
that is a pretty damn good team for a 14 team keeper. i like your rotation alot for now and long term potential. only question i have is the age of Delgado and Durham... times approaching for these guys around the corner.
you are banking on a few rookies this year with Quinten and Young who both are solid. i think the strength of your team is def the pitching however.
Thank you for your response to my team.. Well thought out and helped a lot.
Your team solid hitting, Durham a little weak at 2b, pitching, Sheets if he stays healthy is solid, Hamels nice young pitcher, I agree with your assesment of Becket, I think he could be better this year, less pressure. Lidge good on Saves, Zumaya if he gets the job could be a great pickup. I think you have a solid team with just a few minor questions such as closer, and 2b I agree you are lacking in speed.
