They're facsimile autographs and they're on all the base cards like that. Jeter is the only stupid stuff that ruins the card though.

They were going for a few dollars a couple of days ago and I didn't think anything of it but from a quick ebay search it seems that it went into the $100's. 8-o

I was thinking photoshopped in the sense that someone took the Jeter card and altered it. But it was photoshopped/edited, just by Topps and mass produced. ;-)

Ah ok, just the base set. A bit surprised they did all of that without making it an insert (or even a full subset) card. :-?
