This guy has looked extremely well in ST so far. The Rays coaches are highly impressed. He has some great stuff and comes to play. I expect him to be called up sometime in the 1st half of the season/

The Rays have a ton of good young pitchers in their farm. I'm not sure if he'll get the call this year, but he is someone to watch for the near future.

If you're a D Ray fan, then you might want to hope they don't call him up too early like they have with their other pitching prospects. TB seems to have a history of exposing their young pitching talent too soon.

Oh i know trust me.

Friedman said that before any pitcher comes up he needs to have a combined 200 IP between AA and AAA. Talbot is close to that so he will be in AAA for a little while at least

Also Hellickson, any word on him? I believe he has a great ceiling if the DRays don't screw him up.

Niemann looks great as well. He has recovered and he will start in AAA as well. He still needs time to get to the 200 IP and so the Rays know he can go through a season w/out injury.

Hellickson isn't in camp so i haven't seen him

Talbot is the most MLB ready of the bunch I believe. That's why he should be the first one up. not saying he has the most upside.

But his minor league stats alone last year are just great, lots of ks, not a whole lot of h and just keep the HR to a minimum.
