hey guys, i need some help here. i just drafted this team in a 10-person league with 5x5 rules. i think i should try and make a trade for power or something, let me know what you think:

1B: J. Morneau
2B: B. Roberts
SS: R. Furcal
3B: M. Cabrera
C1: M. Barret
C2: A.J. Pierzynski
Util: Eric Chavez
Util: J. Crede
OF(5 of them): C. Crawford, N. Swisher, M. Cuddyer, J. Francoeur, Ryan Freel

Bench: Adrian Beltre

P: Arroyo, Beckett, Buehrle, Harang, Millwood, Cliff Lee,
Ervin Santana, M. Rivera, F. Rodriguez

Bench: Tim Hudson

any suggestions on what to do (if anything)?

You definetely need to trade some speed for power. Also, you don't have a real ace on your team, that's a little disconcerting. Bright spots: speed, closers.

I'm not sure if this is a team that can win, but you should contend though...

I don't see how your best pitcher is between Arroyo/Santana. If you want to contend, I would think about pitching before power. You could try to give up Crawford for two guys: a pitcher like a Lackey or Smoltz and a decent power guy like Fielder or maybe somebosy a little better. You have to make moves - your tem is definitely repairable - but needs work. ... p?t=253487

I think you should address your starting pitching first, then try to address any power or hitting issues through the free agency wire

your sp isnt pretty, thats for sure. beckett should improve, and harang is good and ervin should do fine, but the rest im not high on. you are a bit speed heavy. look for a team that is lacking and offer up freel for an of with power or a solid sp. package him with bronson if you can to get a guy like smoltz or lackey. you have plenty of time before the season starts, so start floating around offers for power and pitching and see if anything good comes up

help me out ... p?t=253379

you're going to be hurting in Average so you might want to hawk chavez or swisher for a dominate pitcher like Zambrano or maybe Webb and decent bat with higher average.

Dealing crawford isn't a bad idea either if you get the right combo of hitter & pitcher in return.

Dealing Freel is a way better idea b/c you won't give up too much, still have crawford, and you could get a great power bat outfielder and then trade swisher for a pitcher.
