Tell your boss you want a raise
Yeah, that funny thing is that the company I work for is in Pennsylvania, but the client company I applied to, and where I work, is in Maryland.
The raise will be brought up if I don't get this job, but I'll mostly likely relocate back to Harrisburg
You've got a nice river and some old looking bridges in harrisburg
Yeah, I see your point... but the bar scene is pretty good too. A nice micro selection at most of the places, plus Troegs and ABC. Oh, and don't forget Three Mile Island... meltdowns are fun!
I always considered Harrisburg to be a lot like Springfield from The Simpson's. Plus I got to see a huge chunk of the Walnut St. bridge float away...

Whoops!
I used to drive through it on the way to vermont all the time
So a higher up in the IT department just asked me if I knew SQL well. I said I learn everything fast. he then asked if I liked my position and I said my goal is to move up and out of helpdesk eventually.
my boss basically told me the other day that if i had a job opportunity come up outside the company it might be a good idea to take it.
i'm like WTF...are layoffs coming? (it's automotive so you never feel completely safe) and he was just like you never know around here, especially when we're slow (which we are now)
